Revisional bariatric surgery

(removal of bands, change from sleeve to bypass, reversal of bypass surgery)

There may be reasons for a patient to have another procedure years following their initial surgery.  Issues with gastric bands, reflux issues, weight gain or other reasons can lead patients to seek a change. Dr Cocco can advise on what is possible and what options are available for your particular circumstances.

Some patients benefit from removal of their gastric band and conversion to a bypass for example.  Roux-en-Y bypass surgery may be considered for patients with difficult to manage reflux disease.

There are more options for weight management all the time, your GP can provide advice, or Dr Cocco is happy to discuss your concerns at consultation.
