Announcing IFSO's New Name and Expanded Mission

Continuing the theme of medication and surgery - IFSO - the premier society for metabolic and obesity surgery to which this surgeon belongs, had expanded its scope to include other therapies including medications. This is great news as we can continue to foster collaboration and work towards a healthier future for our patients.

I believe obesity is a chronic disease - not a choice! This is a disease that requires long term and often multimodal therapy, surgery is still our most powerful tool in the treatment of this disease.
